Who are you? What story do you tell yourself about who you are?

The last kid picked in gym class? You’re the third wheel, always picked last for sports, you’re the best friend not the girlfriend. Maybe you’re the nerdy one or the ‘shy’ one. Want to know something great?

You decide.

You are the one re-telling yourself these stories in your head. Yes maybe you have had experiences in your past that made them feel true at the time. But you are the one continuing this story in your head. You’re the one telling yourself that because you got picked last for sports in school or maybe that one teacher told you that you couldn’t do it, and ever since then you’ve branded yourself as being no good.

You can decide what you tell yourself. You can change that story and make changes for the better.

It’s up to you to challenge the internal story you’ve had on repeat until now. Write down any of the things you’ve always wanted to do but you’ve always told yourself you’re no good at it or you could never do it. This is where you can shake things up, tell a new story and make your dreams happen.

For now get your boots, grab a book and get outside.
