PROJECTS

If you don’t live your days by goals and plans, chances are that you spend most of your time caught in a flurry of day-to-day activities. Ever felt that your days are passing you by without any tangible output? What did you accomplish in the past month? What are your goals for the next three months? Look at the things that you have been doing and the things that you’re planning to do next — do they mean anything to you if you are to die today? Having projects reminds you of what’s really important to you so that you can act on them.

'The Big Lap', Driving around Australia

Like so many Australian’s I’ve dreamed of taking a year to 18 months off from everything and heading off around the country. Seeing all of the amazing things I’ve always wanted to see and experience. I’ve heard so many people say there is truly never a perfect time to go, you just have to decide and make it happen.

I have a few smaller projects that will help me get to this one and I’m excited to share it all as I get ready and make it happen.

Hiking & Camping

As a kid my family would always go away at the school holidays, camping and going on road trips to new places. As I got older I’ve slowing been collecting my own equipment and I’ve enjoyed plenty of weekends away camping. I’ve never done a multi-day hike so this is something I am working on. I’d love to be able to make the most of my free time, hiking into the wilderness and enjoying every minute. Click here to learn more about my next camping trip.

Photography

I love to travel and see the world, up until now I’ve made-do with point and shoot cameras and my phone for taking photos. I’ve always wanted to take more time with photos and try out different ways of capturing moments. I plan to update my kit with a professional camera and some training to give my stories some visuals to go along with them.

Weight Loss Goal & Reward Trip to Fiji

For the longest time I’ve wanted to see Fiji. I love a beach holiday and with so many stunning islands to see I just know I’ll love it. I’ve done a lot of travel in my time and I’m saving this trip as my reward for reaching my goal weight. It’s going to represent my hard work and achievement in doing all the hard things to finally shed the kilos and be at my goal.

This wont be the end of my journey by any stretch but I’ve been saving and planning with this reward in mind. I’m looking forward to all the things my weightloss will bring into my life. For updates on where I am in terms of my fitness goals click here.
